WELCOME TO THE BUFFELSFONTEIN GAME AND NATURE RESERVE

Visit us for a Wildlife Conservation Experience

The Academy is situated at Buffelsfontein Game and Nature Reserve, just an hour's drive from Cape Town. The reserve is home to free-roaming rhinos, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, and various species of antelope, making it an ideal destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Additionally, it offers excellent birdwatching opportunities.

Accommodation options within the reserve include several cottages near the reception, a guesthouse as well as chalets across the road from the academy. The guesthouse and chalets are 100m from each other and the cottages are about 2 km from these. Housing is generally shared between two or three people. The guesthouse is capable of accommodating approximately 12 people.

The Academy is located at Buffelsfontein Game and Nature Reserve, a game farm in a relatively remote location. Our wi-fi reception is moderate. Our accommodation is rustic, and situated in nature. With nature also comes a little bit of dust, insects and sometimes some unexpected and unusual visitors from the animal kingdom (big and small). Our remote location can also sometimes result in a delay in having unexpected broken appliances fixed. We will however, always do our utmost to always ensure a reasonable level of comfort for our guests while out in the bush.
